  1. Yeah I wonder what the process is exactly... I know that they separate the recommended proposals into 'High priority', 'medium priority' and 'low priority', so maybe they send out the offers to the high priority people first, and then based on how many turn down the grant, send them out to lower priority proposals? I haven't heard yet either, so I hope that this isn't the case!!!
  2. For any other applicants to South Pacific countries (Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, etc...), I just heard from Jonathan Akeley. He said that notifications for the South Pacific are usually pretty late, and the earliest we'll hear is late April. A couple more weeks of waiting!
  3. I was just thinking, will this government shutdown (assuming it happens) affect the Fulbright program. Would it continue operating regardless of a government shutdown, or be put on hold? Basically I don't think y'all are stressing quite enough as it is
  4. Hm, I don't know... I'm probably just getting (overly) paranoid about actually getting a Fulbright, and then somehow losing it by not having my ducks in a row...
  5. So when you get your acceptance letter, it says you need to get a health clearance AND a research visa within 3 weeks? The health clearance sounds like no problem, but 3 weeks for a research visa? Anybody have any information on whether this is required?
  6. Hi! Is anyone else here applying to one of the recently-opened Pacific Island countries? If so have you heard any details about how the process is coming along? Will we just hear back at the same time as the other East Asia/Pacific applicants?
