:? unfortunately, it looks like i might turn down all 4 of my accepted schools (and one MA...) ...they're all in the 25-40 ranked range. i'm scared that they're not the best fit for me. i don't want to be there for 5-6-7 years and not have a job when i leave. i feel a bit crazy about this since the application process was so rigorous. anyone else doing this?

oh if you don't mind, which programs? i think i'll do that this week if i don't hear from anywhere.

I'm on 3 waitlists. I'd go to 2 of them in a heartbeat. Do people usually take wait lists as insults and turn down acceptances if they come through? That seems a bit silly. I really don't know what to do about the wait list situation. I emailed 2 programs after I received my wait list notification but haven't been in touch since then. I guess my decision will be made on April 15th.

I'm also on the waitlist. I have other places that I'd attend ahead of IU so I'm not worrying about that one just yet.

that's how i felt at the beginning of this process, when i was done with the GREs. now, i can't wait until april 15th.

Unfortunately, they did not give us a time frame. They told us we can check our application status back in January but nothing has changed since I submitted my application.

also, any tips on how to tactfully email a school about admission decisions? is it ~time~ to ask or should i wait some more?

anyone else really anxious about the waiting list process? also, is anyone on a waiting list for funding? it probably depends on each school, but if i attended a school without funding for my first year, would i be able to receive funding for subsequent years?

ah congrats on making a final decision! when was your CMU admit-weekend invite? i still have not heard from them...

as a rutgers alum - i vote RU. im also having a really hard time making a decision. is anyone else moving/making their decision with a significant other?

Me three. Maybe it'll be there when I come home from work today...

looks like their "history day" was yesterday for students with offers. i also didn't hear from them yet but i assume the worst.
