  1. Seems like i'm the only one on here with no interest in obtaining a ph.d beyond my masters. Along with my post-undergrad, i'm planning on honing my skills in Arabic - i've taken a couple semesters already - and eventually finding employment within a federal agency, FBI in particular. With the amount of people graduating with their bachelors, it's becoming more and more difficult to have a step up.

  2. So, ladies and gents of the up and coming Criminal Justice elite, do you have to move to get to your program for this fall? Do you have a lot of preparations to make? Are you feeling COMPLETELY and totally overwhelmed? How are you doing it?

I've talked to a couple members of my incoming cohort, who are helping me with housing and such, and who I'm hoping to meet and hang out with incredibly soon. But so far, that's all I've got, and I'm TOTALLY overwhelmed! I'm moving from Flint, Michigan to Albany, NY and feel completely unprepared and can't figure out how to find an apartment I can afford/get it furnished/move my things/see the apartment and all that good stuff. I hope everyone else is fairing better!

    Hi,

I'm moving from Iowa to East Lansing. I'm not stressing myself out about the move so much, I figure I need to try and relax as much as possible before September. The most stressful part is definetely finding a decent enough place to live, close to campus, affordable, what to take, how to get it there, finding what I need when I do actually get there.

  3. I'm applying just for my MA/MS straight out of undergrad. So far, I've gotten into U Cinn and San Diego State (I go to school out here as well). I didn't get into the program at U of Maryland, I heard back February 1st. But I'm also applying to Michigan State, UC Irvine, CSU Long Beach, CSU Fresno, SUNY at Albany, U of Missouri at St. Louis, Florida State U, ASU and Georgia State U. Anyone else looking into those schools?

    Hey Gabbyl

I applied to Michigan State for my masters, not going for my Ph.D. I accepted and am excited, yet nervous. The senioritis is in full effect and I try not to question whether I have enough steam for two, hopefully two, more years. Otherwise i'm ready for a change, ready to focus more on just criminal justice, as opposed to philosophy and women's studies, which make up my final semester as an undergrad.
