For this type of experience, the costs are more specific than the benefits: the expense, the loss of income and the time away from whatever you were working on. The costs also are more certain that the benefits. That said, the benefits could be immense, depending on what we all make of it. I was thrilled to have received an acceptance today and I am very excited about the program. Good news certainly makes the tortured waiting time seem less painful in hindsight, but I propose that we all remember to give constructive feedback to the school, so they can improve the process and communications in the future. My congrats, best wishes or condolences to all, depending on your situation. I have seen first-hand how setbacks often lead to unexpected greater things, so if you got bad news, please take heart in that. To those I will meet this summer, I look forward to it!

Seems that the extra day wait for those with April 15th deadlines elsewhere has come and gone without any news... Anyone heard anything new?

OK. There goes my theory. I just called and heard the same thing. I asked why they had been saying today (and, previously, had been saying by yesterday) and their response was that they had misinformation. Apparently, they just learned today that the real date will be the end of THIS month. Wow.

I'm guessing it will be in the next hour or two. They were pretty definitive about today being the day. Also, for Admissions, I think they (a) have to send out admissions and rejections together in this digital age AND (b ) they like sending rejections after the office is closed on a Friday. That way, people have a weekend to cool off before the phone rings off the hook. Just a theory. Good luck everyone!
