After being rejected by NYU for their Economics MA, I received an email today offering me the chance to apply to the 'John W. Draper Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Humanities and Social Thought'. Simply put, I have to do nothing more than supply a 350-500 word statement of purpose in order for them to consider me. The problem is, I have no idea what this course is. The descriptions are very vague and it seems in no way related to economics or my academic background. I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one to get this having found on the forum. Does anyone have any information on this course, or did anyone take up the offer from last year?

Thank you! Congratulations to you as well! I'm possibly going there to do the GPED as I mentioned - though I am deciding between my two best offers at the moment. I'll be heading over from London so it's a bit daunting. Do you know anything about accommodation for graduate students? I know that I am not given a place on campus but I have no idea what to be looking for!

Is there anyone going in the Fall? Especially the GPED program but for any course as a general!
