ugh.. i got off the computer for awhile and went to the store KNOWING that the email would be waiting for me when I got back.. what the ----? I mean, I'm not trying to be crazy, here, but they shouldn't keep TELLING us it's coming! Had the secretaries just had the decency to say "piss off, we'll tell you when we tell you" then I would have gotten some work done today!

I called a little over an hour ago, and the lady said that notifications would definitely be out today..

Maybe funny.. but absolutely right. Also, I'm just a first year dabbling in some projects, and I mostly wrote to DOD about bio-acoustics.

I'm actually in the "Earth and Atmospheric Sciences" dept., working with a couple oceanographers that have really really broad interests.

me too However, you wouldn't think that's true b/c the first few times I tried the model, I killed off all the whales really quick. Then I had a problem with negative whale populations, and wanted to spread a theory about anti-whales swimming through the Atlantic canceling out my real whales..

I'm still (ludicrously) trying to work through some code for a whale population model.. but beer is sounding better and better

Wow, I've been reading this forum all weekend and I've always thought you guys were being a little hard on fluffy and fortytwo, but it seems like you were right! Oh, me too, etale. I was flat out rejected by the GRFP, so I doubt I stand a chance at the NDSEG.

Anyone still waiting to hear from Cornell? I'm on the American Politics waitlist, and it would be great to know if anyone out there is with me, or has been accepted and is planning on going somewhere else!
