The FSU Graduate apartments are called Alumni Village. They are very old (I believe they were dorms for people returning from WWII on the GI bill) and very poorly maintained. They are loud, small, have lots of bugs, and are in a high crime area. Also, they aren't actually that close to campus, they are at least a few miles away. They are relatively cheap because they are so crappy, and it is easy to get in there (no need for a credit check) and you don't need to visit first to reserve an appt, but I would advise against living there unless you really don't care about the quality of your apartment and the neighborhood. Actually, I would look anywhere north of Tennessee St to be on the safe side. Midtown is a nice, quiet neighborhood.
