Today is April 14 and I have heard nothing from 3 schools and been rejected from 4. I think the silence from the 3 schools means rejection or low wait list status.
I was pro active in attempting to put my name out there, got excellent LORs, decent GREs well above the standard cut off for the programs I applied to (combined 1280), and a GPA that, while not stellar (3.2 overall) steadily improved from my lousy freshman year performance and that was very good within my field (3.9 major GPA). My SOP could have been better in hindsight (committed a few mistakes that likely made it blend into the crowd from reading this forum), but it was by no means bad.
Is it worth it to try again... I don't know if I can put myself through this again. I poured my heart and soul into this process, spent almost $2k and got nothing. Will my chances be any better on a second try? Anyone have experience with re-applying? Thanks.
