  1. it seems that there aren't many I/O applicants here. for those that are here, please respond since more respondents will produce more meaningful results. i'll be reporting the descriptive data from this and will update the first post with an "average applicant" profile from this forum for an i/o psy program. If someone wants to make another topic that is similar to this one, but applies to all psychology program applicants, then you are more than welcome to use the template created and i would be more than happy to still log and report the descriptive data. but for now, more i/o faces and stats!
  2. Nice! Thanks for replying and belated congrats on getting into a program. Just curious, what sort of research interest(s) did you outline in your SOP, and how close did that outline match to what you are doing now? Also, for the poster, what was the topic?
  3. I find it tedious to sift through all the topics for a few posts on academic stats. I want to compare myself to those who are applying and those who were accepted (past and present) to I/O and related programs. I've seen people get into stellar schools and programs I'm interested in, but those posts are so far into an offshoot convo that their stats are hard to track. So, this will be the hub for posting stats about yourself. Follow this format, for simplicity's sake. Semester applying (applied): Major(s); Minor(s): GPA (Overall; Major): GRE Total (V: XXX; Q: XXX): Internship (Yes, No): Research Experience (years): Relevant Work Experience (years): Honors (Departmental, College, None): Thesis or Independent/Directed Study (Yes, No): Publications (#): Poster(#): Conferences (#): References & relationship (years known, relation): Applying to (Applied to): Accepted: Enrolled: So, for example: Try to fill out as much as you can. If you want to update later, I suggest updating the original post since it would be more helpful that way for future searchers.
