For clarity's sake, I am not attempting a graduate education in any capacity, I am currently seeking enrollment at various art schools for my next bachelors. One of the schools I recently applied to sent a thick brochure for their graduate program. This confuses me a bit but not completely. Firstly, my application met the requirements for a MFA program:
3 Letters of Recommendation (rather nice ones, two from department heads)
3.00 GPA (mines a little higher)
A multi-year leadership position for an off-campus project/ Years of work history
20 portfolio pieces
What bothers me is the fact that they are no longer considering MFA applications and the brochure might be a kind way of saying "Maybe next time you should try this." I personally would love to attend this school for a graduate degree and now this brochure has me dreaming about an MFA and it could have been a simple mistake. What do you guys think? Was it an accident? Are they considering me? Should I call and investigate or wait until the scheduled reply period?
