I just received the letter today and unfortunately it was negative, dated March 25 I am attending McGill
-
Congratulations ...Congratulations...Congratulations
-
Can anybody confirm that NSERC has issued all the letters and now in their way to be delivered by Canada post? I am wondering some of us might wait more not because of the delay of the post but because of NSERC delay in issuing the letters
-
Any news about when NSERC will spread out the letters through post mail. I don't know why NSERC insists to send paper letters. As I know OGS and FQRNT announce the results online
-
I noticed that NSERC reduces the doctoral scholarship (PGSD and CGSD) each year for example in my school McGill the total number of offered doctoral awards are: 60 awards---- 2010 42 awards----- 2011 38 awards----- 2102 Also in Waterloo 54awards---- 2010 48 awards----- 2011 42awards----- 2102 is it expected also this year another reduction in the doctoral awards will be?

Do they rank in a committee basis like what NSERC does or they rank them globally (they give order for all the applicant regardless of their program)
-
Does the school rank their applicants when forward their applications to NSERC ?
-
thank you for your reponse.

Are you sure that your status " in progress" ? thats weired, as I know ,this status appears only befor online submission I am at McGil, still waiting the results NSERC website says: Form 201 PGS applicants applying through a Canadian University Select Verify to ensure your application is complete (status will appear as Completed). Submit your application to your institution for approval (status will appear as Submitted). This action is the equivalent of you signing the application. Refer to Electronic Submission of Applications and What do the electronic or original signatures on the application mean? Your institution submits your application to NSERC for consideration (status will appear as Approved). PGS and PDF applicants applying directly to NSERC Select Verify to ensure your application is complete (status will appear as Completed). Select Submit to forward your application to NSERC (status will appear as Submitted). This action is the equivalent of you signing the application. Refer to Electronic Submission of Applications and What do the electronic or original signatures on the application mean? Once submitted and received by NSERC, the status will appear as Received.

The phone number of the OGS office is: 807-343-7257 Everybody is requested to call them if the results not issued FRIDAY
-
We hope to see the results Friday. If NOT, every single applicant should call them
-
if thats true, this means OGS office playing in us
-
We still have Friday if the results are not announced today's night. If not, do we expect it this weekend or a further delay is expected.
-
Yes, I fully agree with you. In my case I haven't applied for any school yet waiting the results also all the deadlines are approaching.
-
If that true, the OSAP should compensate the sudentens for killing them in waiting and every time they change the results announcement date, this is frankly a nonsense and a lack of respect for the applicants, I would mention that the results of NSERC were announced on the begining of April, also the Quebec graduate awards (FQRNT) results are also announced on April, 18. WHY THIS DELAY ONLY FROM OSAP?

Hi everbody!! I have applied for OGS directly to the ministry from outside Ontario. I am applying for a (307 -PhD Mechanical Engineering) and I never attended a school in Ontario, but I want to move to Ontario for a PhD. Does anyone know the oppurtunity for those studentents from other provinces?, is the priority given to the students who reside in Ontario.
