When I go to Cambridge in September I will be taking my third history masters degree, I ready Science, Technology, Medicine and Society at Imperial College London / University College London, History of Design and Oxford and I will be reading British local history at Cambridge,. Why do I do it? because I love history, surely that is all that is required?

I'm a recent graduate of Imperial so I can say that if you come to London you will have a great university experience. There are two things about university, the institution itself and the student body. Imperial is clearly a world class university with world class students so on that basis I would say Imperial has to win.
A new institution has a lot of work to do to build a reputation and attract the best.

Well the LSE is a social science university so don't think computer science, that would be a massive mistake.
So the IS and Innovation Group as it is now called is part of the management dept. Definitely think Philosophy and Theoretical.
LSE is one of the best social science universities in the world, it was certainly the first dedicated totally to social science and would be ranked with Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Chicago in the USA for its discipline.
