Hi , I am new to this forum. I did Bachelors in pharmacy and completed MS in Chemistry(fall 2010). Now I got phd in Medicinal Chemistry for fall 2011. After completion of my masters, I got job in SAS (IT) and currently working in that. But now I got phd admission which will be starting from fall 2011. I completely lost my interest in going back to Pharmacy and doing Phd. Also sources said, it will take more than 5 yrs to complete phd in Med Chem. I am bit worried about my visa status and Job security, if I continue my Job.At the same time, I am concerned whether I can successfully start my Phd. I just wanted to know the career opportunities after completion of Phd, so that I can make my decision fruitful. Can anyone suggest me which path would be good to proceed? Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!
