both are Computer Science PhD program. Duke has a higher reputation. UC-Santa Barbara (UCSB)'s engineering school is a lot better than Duke's. According to usnews, CS@Duke ranks 27, while CS@UCSB ranks 35. But National Research Council has a different rank. It ranks UCSB as top 10, while Duke is about 20. Which factor will you consider while making a decision? What is your decision? Thanks a lot!
