I am actually from Atlanta. Haha. So the crime doesn't really bother me. I do agree that Ithaca is definitely more beautiful...but it is not an urban center.

I just found out by checking the website. It is kind of strange that I was not sent an email. I am still trying to decide...but I am leaning towards Cornell. Anyone have some advice?

Just got into GaTech. It is true that you get two packets when accepted: one from admissions and one from the department. On the website it said that the decision had been made and there was a footnote that two packets were being sent my way.

I spoke with CMU today. They said that they do not have an official wait list. However, you are still in limbo (read: wait listed) if you have not been notified of a rejection or acceptance yet.

I definitely fall into this category. I have had the impostor syndrome for most of my academic life. I find it especially hard for a woman in the sciences. Thanks for the post.

I talked to UCLA DOTM today. They said that if you have not already been notified, that you have not been accepted nor put on the waiting list. They will be sending out all letters by the end of the month.

I was informed this week. I have not heard back from most of the programs. As far as my research interests are concerned, finance is not one of them. I am interested in pricing, supply chain management, network design, and auction design. I did apply to DOTM at UCLA, but I have not heard anything back. Good luck!

I was accepted to the PhD program at Cornell! Does anyone know much about the program? How does it compare to the program at Georgia Tech?
