new to anthro

Sorry to the Stanford people feeling bad tonight! Regarding Princeton--people have posted rejections and one a waitlist for cultural. I'm cultural too and haven't heard anything. I emailed the sec. on Mon. and no response. Any ideas? I probably shouldn't, but I've got my hopes up that it is positive...

May I ask where you heard that from? Was it from NYU staff?

Has anyone else heard about whether they are waitlisted or accepted to Princeton?

I emailed the grad sec at NYU for my rejection and all she said was that decisions have been made and they'll come in the mail within two weeks. No one has posted an acceptance to NYU--it seems like not that many people really use this site... Also waiting for Princeton and Columbia.

I applied to three schools only and I only contacted a prof at one. She was very responsive and I got her to allow me to sit in on a couple of her classes this past fall term and met with her in her office hours to disucss the program and my interests for half an hour. But when I returned to sit in on her class the next week, she didn't remember me at all! And there were several other potential applicants auditing the same class, too. I haven't heard but I will soon apparently--doesn't look good.
