  1. Does the money get transferred onto our bank account (like OSAP) or does it go directly to the university to pay for tuition? I vaguely remember it saying something like that on the website. Thanks for the help!
  2. OH MAN I hope they hurry up
  3. Thanks for posting this...I've been checking every 20 minutes. It's good to know that it is unlikely that we will find out today.
  4. I got into U of T planning last week, and was notified via email. My SGS status still says "under review" for some reason but I received an official letter with the conditions today. So for anyone still waiting, the online website is not very accurate...
  5. Does anyone know whether all OGS applications are passed on by a school? From my understanding all your current school does is ensure that your application is complete. Apparently they ranked applicants in the past, but they no longer do this. Is this correct?

    CIHR or SSHRC?

Thanks for all the help! I spoke to my advisor who is on the CIHR council. She says that as someone hoping to go into planning I should apply for SSHRC.

    CIHR or SSHRC?

Hey all, I am currently an undergrad, hoping to get into a master's urban planning program in Toronto. The research I am currently doing focuses on health and urban form, and I am starting to look into scholarships and grants to help pay for my grad school tuition. The question I have is whether it is easier to get a CIHR or SSHRC grant, and which one you recommend I apply for. In my application, I can ensure that I do not mention health at all and apply for the SSHRC or I could stress my research has to do with health and the city and apply for the CIHR. The only issue that I have is that urban planning is a professional degree master's program, so I don't know how receptive CIHR will be of my application. Any help would be much appreciated!
