Hello all, I took the revised GRE exam a couple of days ago and scored 350-450V & 750-800V. It was out of my expectation that I did so poorly on verbal reasoning. I did multiple practice tests the weekend before - perhaps it was stress and practice before the exam. I feel really depressed and unsatisfactory with verbal score I have, and I really did my best on it and with prior studying. It makes me feel like I can't go anywhere with that score. I am planning to retake the GRE in November, but I am afraid that it might be too late to submit to the schools that I want to go to. Anyway, I just want to know where I stand on the grad community with my poor GRE performance and with my academic stats: Double science major at a top 10 public university GPA is 3.85 (3.91 for my majors) Phi Beta Kappa 2 years of research experience related to my majors Anticipating good letters of recommendations from professors that know me well Can I still go to top or at least good schools with awful GRE scores?
