  1. I'm the LSU masters waitlist. blehhh.
  2. To the person who got rejected from 2 at the same time.. I'm sorry! That happened to me a couple weeks ago (got rejected from UMN and Illinois within the same 30 minutes). It's rough, but keep your head up!
  3. Yeah, I noticed that. Last year, an MA was accepted on February 8th or 9th, so last week I was going nuts. haha trying to reel in my insanity for a couple weeks.
  4. I applied to Kansas State and LSU. Neither have very much info on the results surveys for MAs which is the most frustrating part. I called KSU last week and she did say they are under review, however the deadline is March 1st for those who didn't want to be considered for a TAship or department funding... Does that mean even though I applied by December 1st, I won't hear until after March 1st? So lame if true.
  5. What a boring day... I have no idea when I should be hearing from the masters programs I've applied to and it's driving me CRAZY.
  6. Rejected from Illinois... Two rejections in about an hour.
  7. ....And rejected from Minnesota... I saw that coming haha oh well.
  8. I am hoping to at least hear from LSU (MA) this week. Pleaseeee. I've received absolutely no news yet.
  9. I'm really worried about Illinois. Based on last year, they probably aren't admitting too many this year and I see a couple people have already been admitted and I haven't heard anything yet... Oh well... Illinois was more of a dream haha. Same as Ohio and Minnesota.
  10. Hey all, just pulling my hair out like all of you! I am getting more nervous by the hour because an Illinois acceptance has been posted already! Does anybody know anything about when we should be hearing from Minnesota, Ohio State? And did anybody else apply to Kansas State here? I am most anxious about that one since they fit my interests perfectly, however I had to apply for the MA program there. When are MAs generally decided upon? I know that all of the answers may be speculation, but I have no way of finding out from any "insiders." Thanks!
  11. I think that if you are considering LSU, it wouldn't hurt you to apply. Their Masters program's deadline is January 15th if you're looking for funding and I believe sometime in April or May if not. Your verbal GRE score is great! The writing may hurt you, but a writing sample could probably offset that as well as the statement of purpose. LSU is a pretty decent school from what I gather, plus you can't get into their Ph.D. program without first having the Masters. Good luck!
  12. After reading through what's been going on here, I have to say I am very sorry to hear about some of you guys' problems concerning LORs... I was fortunate enough to have my profs submit them about three days to a week ago, but I feel your pain because my girlfriend's LOR wasn't sent in until almost last minute. Don't lose hope though! I heard from several of my professors that late LORs are usually accepted since the committees do not usually meet until after the holiday break.
  13. Is anybody here applying to Louisiana State? I e-mailed the graduate coordinator there about submitting a writing sample longer than 10-12 pages (which she thankfully stated that I could send my whole piece of 20 pages), but did not answer my question about official transcripts. I don't want to pester her about it, but the site states that official transcripts should be sent online with other supplementary materials, yet there is no area to upload them. Even if I did upload them, I could only upload unofficial transcripts! I guess I'll just send them directly to the program and cross my fingers unless someone else knows for sure.
  14. OSU, Minnesota, and K-State applications are submitted. 4 more applications left. Here's hoping!
  15. Nevermind, ugh. Just freaking myself out. Please disregard.
