My profile: B.Eng. Electronics Engineering- 87% University of Hull, Uk Ranked 1/45. GRE, Quant 800/800, Verbal 630/800 and 5.0 for Analytical Final year research project on comparison of numerical simulation techniques (TLM and LISA). Work experiance: very little..just IT Assistant at the University of Hull Computing Services. Stanford is still writing to people so dont worry. The 2nd round recommendations go up to early April even. I do not know anyone else who got accepted. BTW i have received rejections from Berkeley and Princeton on 23/24th. I wonder why hmm but still awaiting MIT.. anyone? any news P.S. Just heard from Stanford again. Iv been offered a Stanford Graduate Fellowship, covering first three years!

aaa yes i was offered a place and was nominated by the EE department for the stanford graduate fellowship.. awaiting the decision for that. Otherwise i was guranteed departmental financial assistance. Area of research, free space optical comms.
