  1. It certainly has the look of a mass email, which I find sad, considering the current state of my inbox. edit: meaning the results survey makes it look like a mass email
  2. Just received word about additional funding at UW Madison via a fellowship - totally unexpected. A lot of times good news comes from out of nowhere, so for those still waiting for decisions and/or funding, keep your heads up!
  3. I will be visiting Madison as well. I have not been the most active on this forum, but I look forward to meeting you all!
  4. Mine also said 'submitted', but If you scroll all the way to the bottom you might see a link for "a decision has been made..." or something to that effect.
  5. I had a very average GPA at a slightly above-average big state school, but a high GPA in a Masters program, and I've had good luck so far this cycle. I agree with what others have said that a grad school GPA will certainly be weighed more than undergrad (unless maybe the undergrad is really, really down there, in which case I would imagine you might provide some explanation in your SOP). I also interpret it that way because I feel like a lot of schools stated that they wanted letters of rec that spoke to applicants ability to do graduate-level work, so if you also have a GPA that speaks to that criteria, than you are in good shape.
  6. It's tough to get off work, especially when it would be a long-distance trip.
  7. Same here, getting some news next week one way or the other would really help to determine if the trip is worth it. side note - unforeseen benefit to this waiting process: my gmail inbox has never been so cleaned out/organized
  8. American here, w/ behavior and public policy
  9. Hey everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. I posted one of the Madison acceptances but what was reluctant to chime in on here (superstitious I guess, I read the email about a dozen times and emailed the DGS to make sure I wasn't hallucinating). It's nice to have a place to express some solidarity as the waiting game begins for the rest of the schools. Congrats and good luck to everyone so far!
