I'm glad I am not the only one who has some regrets regarding editing. I have two successive sentences in which my syntax is appalling, and I figure that though it will certainly raise some eyebrows, the mixed structure isn't unforgivable--it looks like I was going in one direction with the sentences, changed my mind about wording, and things ended up being left a bit muddled. At least I caught a sentence that had a double negative before submitting the sample; THAT would have been embarrassing.

Just reread through my writing sample and noticed three major typos. Damn. It. To. All. Hell. How did I miss three???!!! Sigh. There go my chances for being taken seriously.

Hi all, Just wondering about the application experience for those of you who have applied and been admitted to UT Austin. To those who have been rejected, I'd love to hear your comments as well. Just looking to round out a conversation on what UTA is looking for, what the process was like, etc. What were your undergrad grades like? Grad school grades? Test scores? LORs/writing sample/SoP?
