Hi, I am interested in applying to MPH programs in Epidemiology, and am trying to write my SOP. However, I am unsure if my work experience relates to Public Health and would be useful for my application. Here is a brief background: I have a BS in Health Services Administration, which included coursework in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Planning & Marketing and Research & Program Evaluation. I also completed a year of Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology and Chemistry. Work Experience: - Health Administration Intern = Summer Internship at a Community Health Center OB/GYN department working on an initiative project to improve postpartum return rates for PCAP recipients. - 5 years of work experience in a Day Habilitation program providing direct support and pre-employment training to individuals with disabilities in community settings; community liaison. - Currently working for a non-profit/State funded Managed Care Organization as a Service Coordinator in the Managed Long Term Care department.
