Hi dextermorgan, got this from the GradCafe Survey.
University Of Toronto / OISE Teaching, Masters (F12) Accepted via Other on 20 Mar 2012 21 Mar 2012
- Received on the same day both a letter in the mail (dated March 16) and an email from the dean. Good luck to everyone else!

I am relieved to hear it from CKimberly.HAHA. I only applied to SESE at OISE. I missed the deadine for other schools because I decided to start applying too late, after knowing I got a funding from my country.
wheatGrass, do you know if i can apply to the flex-time PhD program of SESE after being rejected for the full-time?
chienkerwei, I think you should let OISE know that you've got your own funding (or you did already?).. it might help them make a more informed decison on your application. Good luck!

Just heard good news from York Education via the myfile site.
Congrats, wheatGrass, on your success! That's great news. I'm still waiting on York.

Yes, I got the same email.
-
Thanks chienkerwei! Hope you hear back soon.

You're right, wheatGrass. In addition to having a prof advocating for your application and a very strong statement of intent, you also need strong references. Of course, your research interests have to be in line with those of your POI's.

Thanks CKimberly. The GS student coordinator called. Best of luck with your application!

Got accepted to the Ph.D. program in SLE via phone. Official acceptance letter will come in late March. Full funding for 4 years. So excited!
Good luck to other applicants with their applications to UofT.

OISE grads. End of March, that is what I heard. Is good or bad? I wonder...
Is end of March for Masters or PhD? Would POI contact successful applicants earlier by email?

THIS.
(And I just noticed the CU-Boulder post on here too. That is also a source of discomfort in my life.)
Same here.

It's now the end of the third week of February and I still hear nothing. Has anyone been contacted for anything related to their application? The wait is killing me
-
@ ltam Thanks so much for the insider information. Do you know approximately how many PhD students they take in each year?
-
No mail in Canada either. Family Day
-
I think it's a good idea to make initial contact with the faculty to see what they expect in a candidate. The competition as far as I was told is very keen at OISE, though. Good luck everyone!

Hi CKimberly! I am also totally on the same boat with you. I am an applicant of SESE for the PhD program from Taiwan. Did you try to contact any faculty members in OISE? I did but the response seems neutral. All the best in the application process
@chienkerwei Hi! What response did the faculty members give you? The info would be useful for those who are applying to OISE. Thanks.

Congrats, wheatGrass! Which program in CTL have you been accepted into?
