Yeah, I did the same. Only applied to schools that I would go to without reservation. I also have "one" interview and in case I get accepted, I will be the most content person in the world. Something's better than nothing. Good luck again!
I gave up on them too. Just got a rejection from MIT. I am at a conference at Harvard right now, at this very particular moment. Can't even explain how painful it is to be here and then knowing that you were not "good enough." Sigh!
P.S. I am interested in cancer biology too. You'll be great and will get into a school. You're inspiring enough to be a cancer survivor.
Awwwww...I feel you. I have been pretty disheartened (not really broke down, but yes, teared up) since last night when I read the CollegeConfidential that most people heard from Harvard BBS and Stanford Biosciences.

Which program did you apply to?
You're welcome.
P.S. Check the "Results Survey" on GradCafe and someone said that he/she got an interview from BBS. I don't know if I should believe it? Harvard BBS, PhD (F12) Interview via E-mail on 6 Jan 2012 8 Jan 2012
Wow! Congrats for so many interviews. Seems like you'll be hell busy.
P.S. Which program did you apply at Hopkins? I got an interview from CMM and will be there on the Feb 8-9 weekend.
Lol. That's funny! I hear you. This wait is so frustrating and I feel that I even waste so much time every single day checking these forums and my email instead of doing the work I should be doing. Well, lets keep our fingers crossed!
I really need to get over with my obsession. I keep checking my email/phone every single minute and it's kind of annoying. Anyway, I am not losing hope yet either.
Congrats to the MIT invitees!
Hey! Has anyone heard from the Havard BBS Cancer Biology program? I know someone on the Neuro track heard back. I am freaking out because it's the 5th already and their website says that if you don't hear back from them by the 20th - basically you're rejected.
