I've been lurking these boards for a few months now, despite just registering today. Did anyone else apply to Brandeis? I submitted my application in late November, and I just went to double-check the status of my application online (it turns out they never got my GRE subject scores--which is odd because they were sent with my general scores and those were apparently received--or my transcript, making this the second time USPS has screwed me over with applications. But these issues are neither here nor there since, according to Brandeis's website, they will accept unofficial copies of both document for the time being; I really just needed to vent about it). As I was looking at the email they sent me with my log-in information, I noticed this and went into a mild panic: "If you have not yet done so, you should submit all of your accompanying credentials (transcripts, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, etc.) to the GSAS at the address listed below."
But their website says (in at least two different spots) NOT to mail them any documents because that will only delay the process, e.g., from the GSAS main application page--"Please do not email us or mail to us a copy of your uploaded documents. Doing so will delay the processing of your application" and from the FAQ--"Documents should be uploaded in PDF format. This is preferable for the admission committee. If you are unable to upload documents in PDF format, you may also use .doc, .docx, and .rtf. Other file types will be unreadable. Please do not email us or mail to us a copy of your uploaded documents. Doing so will delay the processing of your application."
I already emailed them about this, but I haven't got a response yet. Worst case scenario, I overnight them my documents (well, minus my LORs because my recommenders [and I] figured it was all online).
Thanks!
