Well... my grant covers housing, dining and could cover part of tuition...but don´t know how much is it.... I know their annual stipend goes between 14000-22000 a year in my country.... since UCB did not waive my tuition then I have to wait for my academic placer to check with the fulbright commission if it s possible to cover the total or a portion of the tuition.... in the meanwhile, UIUC is trying to waive my tuition...so we´ll see...
If UIUC waive your tuition but UCB does not. Normally, FB will choose UIUC for u. Also, living cost is cheaper in Illinois, so maybe your stipend is less than what u get if u r in CA.
It 's experience of my teacher. She 's FBer

When is it, your deadline?
March 28th man
It is the deadline for my scholarship

From UCB (Shelley) : Decisions are sent out now through the end of April. I do not know when your decision will be made, however, I can let the faculty admissions officer know that you have a deadline.

I received my admission letter today by email. The letter didn't say nothing concrete about funding. It said that the faculties are waiting on their funding proposals. If they receive any grants, I will be considered for assistantship and will be notified by email. But they invited me to their open house on March 23. I wasn't expecting decisions from Northeastern this early. Hopefully you will get your decision in a day or two.
Which other schools did you apply?
I have just updated my signature.
Gluck man.

Just received an email from a professor from Berkeley telling me the following:
"Mr Diaz
Your application is currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
You will hear from them by the end of March.
Meanwhile, please summarize your funding details."
Does this mean that own funding is really necessary to ensure admissions??? It sucks if that's the case!
Man, maybe the prof want to admit u. And u got the Fulbright scholarship, right. I guess u will get the admission from UCB soon.

Has anyone of you attended the recruiting weekend at UIUC on Feb 25? Did they say anything about funding?
When did u get the admission from northeastern Robin, I have not heard anything from them. How 's about fund of NEU?

I think all universities are very pleased to offer u an admission

I have no info about universities I applied except UW Madison
The CEE recommend me to graduate school. Still, they told that fund will be notified later.
"The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is pleased to inform you that we have recommended to the Graduate School that you be admitted to the CEE graduate program for Fall 2012. You will be notified separately if you have been selected to receive any type of financial support."
I get a fellowship of VEF (in Vietnam) which supports me 54,000 and the university must support the supplemental financial aid.
What do u think about my situation?
