I officially got the rejection from GSBS today!

I haven't heard from them either. Kinda strange that I was invited to Baylor but not there...thought it would be the other way around.
I left a voicemail for the director (Karen) and will let you know if I hear anything.
I had left voice mail to karen. I have not heard anything from them. It is just making me nervous that it might turn out into rejection. I had called admissions office and they said karen is busy with interviews.

Is any one still waiting to hear from University of Houston, Graduate school of biomedical sciences? I have not hear back from them yet. I dont know if this getting close to rejection. I had been trying to email them couple of times and have not heard back from them yet.

Had anyone heard of Albert Einstein School of Medicine, University of Texas health science center at San Antonio and University of Texas at Houston, MD anderson cancer center. I havent heard from them as of yet and it is making me nervous.

I had been accepted at University of Iowa & LSU , Baton rogue . I am an international student and never had a chance to visit any of this university. My interests are in biological chemistry/ chemical biology / Medicinal Chemistry . I think university of Iowa has a strong program and my research interests overlaps quite nicely with few labs. University of iowa is offering around 18,000$ as TA and LSU is offering 22,500 $ as TA. I would like to have your suggestions and throw some light on making a choice, I am getting more inclines towards U of Iowa.

I have been invited for a Skype interview with Mount Sinai. Have you been contacted by the program yet? If not, have you contacted them and got any response? After 3 weeks of waiting, I sent them an email, but I got no reply so far. It's been a week since I sent them the last email. It's starting to freak me out.
Same here i had sent them mail long back. I havent heard from them so far about the video interview.

I just saw on the results page that someone got rejected from Mount Sinai a few days after their interview. If you are reading, can you please let me know what the interview was like?
Well i am suppose to have video interview but they haven't given me the dates yet for the interview. Do let me know how was your interview? if you have any advice/suggestions/ thoughts to share , it will be great.

I was called for interview on 13-14 feb for on-site interview. However, I am taking video interview. I would love to know if some one appeared for the interview. when are you going for interview.?

I was invited for the same interview dates (for the Microbiology track). As I reside oversea too, I chose a Skype interview instead. Have they scheduled your Skype interview yet? They told me I'd be interviewing with two faculty members and they'll contact me to schedule a convenient time. It has been 2 weeks since the last email. Should I contact the program?

I am going for an interview for Mt. Sinai Neuro 2/21-2/22. I emailed the admissions people, and they told me they are interviewing ~100 people and will enroll 35-38.
Does anyone know what that approximately translates to in terms of admission? I assume they will have to admit more than that number of people for those spots to fill up...
My interview dates are 2/13 - 2/14 for Structural - Chemical Biology and Molecular Design Track . However, i am in india and i cannot afford travelling all the way to New York for two days of interview. I had opted for Skype interview.

hello, Dunhill. I am an international student too and I obtained my MS in America. I got interview invite from Mount Sinai last year and this school gets loooots of fund from NIH every year (the 3rd most as they said). In other words, I don't think they care about if you are self-funded or not. As to the other schools you are applying to, they are all prestigious in microbial research, and the application is highly competitive. So I really suggest you to retake GRE. Hope this information helpful. GL
