Okay . . . so I'm on the shortlist for a TA. The letter did not indicate how many applicants were on th shortlist, but noted that there was a hope additional funding would become available in next few weeks. Does this seem like a lack of funding issue rather than having too many applicants? Is there a typical shortlist length?

Has anyone applied here? Or know anyone who currently (or in the past) attends Kent State? I'd like some feedback on their English department, specifically their PhD program. Thanks!
