After the total letdown of being rejected from the 3 schools I applied to last year, and now after being waitlisted and rejected by almost all this year, the wait is OVER. FINALLY GOT AN ACCEPTANCE. (It was the last school I heard back from, might I add..) so for anyone out there still waiting, I feel your pain, but just keep trying. I'm a terrible standardized test taker, so my GRE scores held me back so bad (ever after taking them 3 times) Proud to say I'll be accepting my offer at UMass Amherst for the fall! (received my notice 4/9)

When did you hear back from New Paltz? and was it an email/letter?

I would have ripped all my hair out at this point for sure! Thats so ridiculous. Was Southern CT one of the schools that 'misplaced' parts of your app?

I applied to worcester this year and had the worst experience. Problem #1 - I visited for one of their info sessions and fell in love with the campus, which i now realize i shouldn't have done until after accepted. UGH. Problem #2 - They must have a computer program reading your transcript, not a real person, because they contacted me and told me I was missing 4 pre-recs. Something like statistics (which i had 2 stats courses on my transcript, they just were not called "statistics") a physical science, a social science, and speech science. So i spent days in contact with the department, sending them copies of old syllabi and such, and still in the end, one of my pre-recs did add up. So they told me my file would be 'incomplete'. At the point I found out, it was already too late for me to sign up and take the class before summer. I was super sad, especially after paying for GREs and transcripts to be sent, and the application fee. BUT you're right, the school seemed great, especially for people like me who don't test well and have lowish GRE scores, and I hope nobody else has the same issues I ran into.

OMG goooood luck! I know a few friends who interviewed there last year and got in. They love Mercy! Did you apply for the early admission, (January 10th I think) or for the regular deadline? I also got the letter from Montclair saying my file was under review and I may be contacted. This is crazy. When I called and asked when official letters should be going out they told me sometime in April. I had the same when I called Mercy! They told me I'd receive notice if I got an interview sometime in the next few weeks, but when days feel like months, a few weeks sounds like forever!

Praying for just one notification today. PLEASE. email, phone call, letter, anythingggg. I'm still waiting on Southern Connecticut, East Stroudsburg, SUNY New Paltz, Umass Amherst, Mercy College, Montclair, and the University of New Hampshire. Does anyone know anything about these schools? (acceptances/rejections?)

To add to your list, I called UMass Amherst yesterday and they said "will go out mid march" so hopefully there's news sooooooon.

Congrats on the acceptance! Unfortunately, I just got my waitlist email from them about 5 minutes ago. I know I should feel happy about at least being on the waitlist, but I was in the same boat last year. I was waitlisted by Uconn and about 2 months later, rejection. UGH. I have very little hope right now, but maybe a miracle will happen, and possibly be classmates

Well, first letter was a disappointment...grrr.. first rejection from the College of Saint Rose. It wasn't super high on my list BUT it's still depressing to get that letter that says "we regret to inform you..." What I'm beyond anxious about is hearing from Uconn or Southern, because they're instate for me..has anyone applied to either/heard anything?
