  1. I am a current student in a prosthetics/orthotics BS program. As part of the program, after we finish the BS portion we go on to grad school and earn a Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Materials Science and Engineering Management of Orthotics and Prosthetics, MSIE-MSEMOP. This is a brand new program starting next year at FSU because of the higher requirements of being certified as a prosthetist/orthotist. My question is... Will that specialization on the MSIE degree prevent me from using it for employment in any other field other than Prosthetics and Orthotics. For instance if I want to switch careers later in life to something that requires an industrial engineering degree will I be able to? Does the potential employer technically have to "see" the specialization or can they just be presented the MSIE degree? Also, does the MS degree supersede the need for a undergrad degree in engineering or will employers only hire someone who has both an undergrad and graduate degree in engineering? Sorry for the lengthy post and thank you in advance to those who reply.
