  1. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find roommates? I tried to think of the least awkward way possible to accomplish this, but so far I can't think of anything, haha. any help is appreciated!
  2. if you go onto the NYU Home account, there's a housing registry for off-campus housing, there were a lot of pretty reasonably priced places there. Granted, I suppose you'd have to check them out before deciding, haha.
  3. I was wondering about this too. Ideally I'd like to find roommates, so I guess that would have to happen first before I do anything else. I think the graduate housing is on a waitlist basis? I'm not sure, but I would imagine it's a bit on the pricey side. I could be wrong though, haha.
  4. I'll be attending NYU too this fall for an MS in speech pathology!
  5. Anyone else going to NYU this fall for SLP? =]
  6. Anyone else attending NYU this fall?
  7. Hi everyone, So I'm deciding between La Salle and NYU for Speech Pathology, and am having trouble in making any sort of decision. NYU is really, REALLY expensive (i did get a little scholarship money and a work study grant...but everything else is in loans). I LOVE this school and i love NYC, which is why I'm so attracted to the program. They also have a lot of research going on that I'm interested in. La Salle is ranked lower, but I've heard that they have a decent program. It is also a fraction of the cost to go to NYU. I've heard that no matter where anyone goes, the SLP program will be decent, and that it really isn't worth it to go into so much debt *(like I would be at NYU). But again, I'm not entirely sure, which is why I'm asking here. If anyone has any advice, please post! Any help is much appreciated! =]
  8. I sorta am too, but I think if I'm going to do it I'm going to just do one at a time. The problem with doing a combined program is that at some places, while your PhD funding will cover your masters as well, if you don't finish both in the right amount of time you'll end up having to pay out of your pocket after that funding runs out. Also, it's really, REALLY difficult sometimes to coordinate classes and requirements for both. HOWEVER, it is still possible. some places even offer their own special combined program which they set up as a department, and I think that would probably make it much better to get through. I'm sure if you found a good advisor it would be a much smoother process! I'm glad i'm not the only one considering this, considering how much school that means we have left haha.
  9. Has anyone else heard back from NYU yet? Do they accept people without doing interviews?
