@nadasade, see a few posts back. Pauli has laid out a pretty great schedule for several of the fellows arriving at DCA around that time. Looks like starbucks is a likely meet-up point before heading to the hotel via metro together. @pauli, Starbucks is near the metro station, so an easy find? I've never flown into Reagen before .. always Dulles.

Thanks @GarbageNerdUCF I didn't even think about doing that. So, we'll all meet up at the hotel then, I assume? I'll message out my number so it's easier to get in touch on Monday..

Is it necessary to call the airline directly to confirm our tickets? And, do I just bring the ticketed invoice to the airline counter to get a proper ticket? I feel silly not knowing this stuff.

I have seen the sites in D.C. enough times that all I'm really interested in is the cherry blossoms since I have never been during the festival. I will probably do that between check in and dinner on Day 1 if possible ...

Well, my flight exceeded $1000 and I've e-mailed Elena twice with no response. I am hoping this is fine.... My flight gets in to Reagan National at 2:30pm. Any idea how long it takes to get from the airport to the hotel by the metro red line? My flight leaves from Reagan National at 12:15pm on the third... Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Does anyone know what booking with SATO is like? Can you pick the airport you are flying out/into or departure times? Or do they just find the cheapest flight and say that's it?

Just received a tentative offer for New Zealand. Actually, a couple of minutes before the e-mail went through Elena called me to let me know an e-mail was coming. I wonder if this is because they are sending tentative offers by e-mail and not hearing back within the 24 hour time period and thus having to move on to the next person on the list.

I have not heard back about New Zealand yet, either. Good to know others haven't.. so the suspense is shared. I think it should be soon, though.

So, I take it they sent out the first round of offers Feb. 16th with instructions to reply by Monday, Feb. 19th. I suppose they might send out a new round of offers today. Having not received any word yet (for NZ), I am a little put off.
