transfer!

there is no topics related to civil engineering, especially the geo-eng. I am now a master student in the Geo- engineering. I found it is not easy to find a job and for some reasons, i lose my interest in this field. So, i'm planning to transfer to statistics. Guys, how about this decision? Need your opinion.
