I am a doctoral candidate. Just been informed by NSERC after my query abt wait-list candidate tht they have mailed me a letter to my address in Edmonton. Though I havent received it yet... I am hopeful tht it is the letter abt me getting NSERC schol..
. What do you all think? I will keep u updated..PS: My wait-list rank was 3 in my committee (Electrical Engineering)

In this link it says that waitlists will be notified in June so I guess no body has heard anything yet.
Yeah even in my NSERC letter its written that if I am out of the waitlist I will be notified by June-15.

How long did you have to wait to get the feedback? I emailed ~7 days ago and nothing yet.

Your department must Know. The depatment have a list. near your name, they will find R or WL.
R = Rejected
WL = waiting list.
I am 100 % sure that the department have this information.

Do u knw whether an applicant is waitlisted or not is indicated in the NSERC letter or we have to request for it as well? I knw I didnt get PGS/CGS-D as conveyed by department but have no idea whether i am wait-listed...

I have a feeling tht this year a lott many ppl in this forum have got rejection than acceptance! I still think once we get the NSERC letter many of us will be on wait-listed... I hope they include the reason why we were rejected for NSERC PGS/CGS so that we can make a better application enxt year... Do they explain or give score in the letter??

Contacted by the department...I got a reject for NSERC PGS/CGS....
:( I m soo disappointed!. I strted PhD in 2011 (transfer frm Master)... had 8 publs, 5 conf, 1 journal 2 as a chapters in book... -

I'm sure you are lying. Results have not been released yet. You've only posted 2 message on this forum, and your first one happens to be that you got NSERC.
Even elias said that the university has the results... I think, some university are starting to announce the result to the applicant

FYI Just got PGS/CGS results from my dept. grad advisor. YAY, I got a PGS! But I ask this forum...what is the difference between a PGSD3 and a PGSD2?
