  1. Hi Folks -- I've just received note from IEE that I've been awarded a Research Grant to Ecuador. Last week I was an alternate, and as of today's mail, I'm in (same manilla envelope that everyone else seems to have received). Very excited here! Would love to connect with the other FB Ecuador folks who have posted. Best, c
  2. Hi folks -- Yes, the alternate letter arrived in a business-sized envelope direct from IEE and postmarked on 3/26. I, too, have the AL-1 descriptor on the bottom left. I suspect it's not some sort of ranking, but I don't know. It was a one-pager -- nothing else in the envelope. (I'd applied for a research grant [i'm currently a doctoral student at a university in the US] and wrote my app about examining a social/civic education program in Ecuador). Good luck to all, c
  3. Hi folks -- I received note today that I've been named an alternate for Ecuador. The letter came from IEE directly via USPS. I applied for the research FB, to conduct a project examining social and civic education at a school there. IM me for more info (@hotmail.com) Be well, c
  4. Hi folks. I'm a research applicant for Ecuador, 09-10. I've made the Jan round and now await final note from the Comission in Ecuador, anytime from March through May. That's quite a window, but I'll post additional info when I have news. BTW, if you're rejected for this "best and final" round or are named an alternate, you receive note from the IEE office directly. All official offers are sent from the Commission in the host country directly, at least that's what the Jan e-mail indicated. Good luck all, c
