One thing I will say is volunteer volunteer volunteer. I got a chance to volunteer at two private practices and I'm sure it was a big factor in me getting accepted.

Hi
Has anyone heard back from liu bk so far. I saw they notified some people after they attended an interview, I'm pulling my hair out worrying.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know whether it has to be for credit or not? I found a non-credit online community college Intro Chem class for $100, but it seems too good to be true...
Do you mind sharing that link

I checked my status online and it changed to deny and the following week I received the letter in the mail.
Thank you!

This is my second year applying so I am not surprised that I haven't heard from LIU-Brooklyn. I was told via phone that I was on the waitlist and then I received my rejection the day before my birthday last year (5/10). I did know people who were accepted though and found out last February.
The only reason I am not surprised we haven't heard back yet is because all NY schools were allegedly suppose to notify all applicants at the same time. This is what I was told at my NYMC interview and I can't help to think that it may be true because we haven't heard from most NY schools yet and last year people heard much earlier.
I called today and the lady said supposedly about a month . When you received your notification last year was it online or by mail?

Some people aren't even aware there is a forum. That's why they post discussions

Since this topic is about NY schools. I have been dying to hear back from LIU-brooklyn. Like i really can't believe its mid march and nobody has heard anything.

I haven't heard anything from LIU - Brooklyn either. But I saw on the results page that last year the first acceptance was on February 15th, so I'm a little surprised no one's heard anything yet.
Right ! its practically mid march. I was told that they have a interview first

Ok so has anyone heard back from LIU Long Island University Brooklyn I saw on the results page a lot of people received some sort of notification from cw post (interviews). Also I see the nyc private schools are taking their time (beside nyu).
Volunteering in NYC

I found volunteer work by emailing multiple private practices. You can even make cold calls. I've noticed its getting a little more competive but look beyond what in front of you. Check all kinds of rehabilitation centers, special disabilities camps, day cares. Also you have to be willing to travel. I had to take a bus and two trains for one of my volunteer places. In the end it worked out because she wrote me great recommendations and I got into graduate school. Not to mention you can start networking. If all else fail you can volunteer at a hospital and try to get placed in their rehab department.
