I will be based at York. I am going straight from undergrad to PhD, nothing in between (not even work experience). Nice to (virtually) meet you too! I am sure we will meet in person sometimes....only 6-8 PhD Admits/per year combined at York and Ryerson....so....very very small class

I got in as PhD quite awhile ago. I think all PhD offers are finalized by now. Curious, what are the background of some PhD admits on this forum? Willing to share some school stats or where from future colleagues? Me: Calgary, undergrad 3.7 in communications, no work experience, ok EC, Graduating in June from university. Any admit wanna share?

Yeah...but I think this individual...York University (Toronto) Communication And Culture, PhD (F11) Accepted via Postal Service on 14 Mar 2011 got called on March 1st 2011.... Oh well....we will see this week....I am on the same boat as you...PhD

Hey AlyaLeka, thanks! That was really helpful! I am new to GradCafe so... It feels like I am refused already cause last year's offer went out so early esp PhD. Are you PhD or? So this year....no offer and rejects at all so far according the result survey? Sigh....hope the wait is over soon............

What is the result survey? March 10th 2012 is SAT, I think York only sends on accepts on weekdays...I think it starts on March 12th this Monday. I strongly believe offers will be out the March 12-16 week cause there is a 2-week wait for accepts to decide, then it's early april for 2nd round, mid-april for second round to decide, then all rejects will be out by mid-april.

Anyone hears anything from Admissions Office for both MA or PhDs applicants? Anyone call to ask when first batch of offers going out? Hope they are starting to send out stuff by the end of this week and next week.......just can not wait anymore...hahha

Another CommCult applicant! I am starting to become obsessive too! This York CommCult is a really good program that I wanted to get in ...tho the school's reputation is okay, but the program is great I think.
