  1. How so?
  2. From the papers they sent out: Estimated cost of attendance 2009-2010 Tuition per credit hour $1,237 (seems like 9 credits per semester is the norm - though it would sometimes be 12) Fees per semester: SIS Program - $750, Sports Center - $65, Technology - $95, Graduate Activity - $30 Plus health insurance, books, living expenses and all
  3. Thanks for your kind reply! I'm still trying to figure out the differences in reputations of their respective tracks. From what I've gathered it sounds like Elliott is seen as stronger in Security Studies while the SIS International Development program is highly regarded. As I am most interested in International Politics and Organizations I am leaning toward SIS (I am also interested in ID as a related field). With Elliott's International Affairs MA the International Organizations specialization is paired with International Law (with many courses at the Law School) and I don't think that's really what I'd want. Are my impressions well founded or am I in need of some corrections? Thanks!
  4. Hi, this is my first post although I've been getting a lot of good info from this board for a while. I'm trying to decide between the Master of International Affairs programs at American SIS and GWU Elliott School. They seem similar in many ways: ranking, price, DC, and being career oriented. I would like to know opinions for or against their programs - I am particularly interested in international politics, international organizations, and international development. I'd like to visit the schools in person, unfortunately I can't since I'm currently working abroad. Thanks and good luck to everyone with the decision making process!
