Ok so I was accepted to both M.S. programs for Structural Engineering at UCSD and Civil Engineering (Structural/Earthquake) at UCLA. I know that UCSD is technically ranked higher (according to USNews) but I have always looked forward to attending UCLA. I am currently a student at UCSD getting my B.S. in Structural Engineering, so I do not know what the program here is seen as by other schools. I have also heard from many students here that they would stay at UCSD if they could get in. Am I that crazy to turn down UCSD for UCLA? Does UCSD for this degree have that much more "prestige" to it or does it not really matter?
