Hello, so i am currently a masters teaching assistant, but was recently offered an RA position with a professor other than my advisor for the following year in geochemistry( which is weird because i have almost no chemistry, i study geophysics). Is this a weird situation or am i making too much of this? I def have the skills required to be a RA ( I know how to take water samples), but I think it would be weird to work for someone other than my advisor. hmm anyway, hope u guys are having a good summer and good luck on all your adventures!

it also depends on how many science classes you have, and your high GPA is a plus but will be weighted less because of Humanities grad inflation compared to science.

I would email people your interested in working with, and then go from there.
