Thanks avocado9, I actually had the exact same impression. I am not from the Midwest either and don't necessarily want to live there after graduation. Harris definitely has a much more diverse alumni network, it seems like almost everyone at Humphrey stays in Minnesota. I'm glad you had the same reaction! This is a big reason I am leaning towards Harris.

I am deciding between the MPP programs at the Harris School (Chicago) and Humphrey (Minnesota). I am interesed in environmental policy and analysis, which they both have. One issue for me is that Harris is more expensive than Humphrey and I don't know if it is worth the extra cost. I am also wondering if the student atmosphere is more competitive at Harris? Any insights into either program would be a huge help!
