Just called, the guy said that he does not know. I told him that I had heard that they would be announced today, and asked if he could confirm that and he did not say anything. I thought i got disconnected, but he was still there. I asked him again and he got quiet again. I then said can you verify that they will be announced today, and he still did not respond. I think it may be today!

Gah!!! To make things worse my university sent an email with NSF in the title (i.e. workshop for next year) and I thought the results were finally here. Torture!

Yes, applied. Will not be eligible next year, so hoping that this year will be a good year.

Fear not, psychology is not as competitive as some of the other fields, and most students in psych rely on other funding sources. Plus, educational psych is a growing emphasis in promoting the core values of NSF.

Am starting to doubt that we will see it this week.

Some would argue that it should be close to perfect if you are going to get boat loads of money and so many applicants are fighting over it. However, I think NSF would rather fund things that are consistent with current research programs they support or core values, rather than give money to GPA's and GRE's.

My advisory really emphasized playing off of NSF's core values and currently funded research projects.

Just called them, they are still stating that results will be emailed by the 15th of Aapril. The lady noted that what happened should not have happened, and that winners have not been awarded yet. Maybe losers only got posted?
