I too am waiting to hear from UAB. I have seen that on the neuroscience graduate page they have posted: Theme 2012 Application Update: Our Fall 2012 class is almost complete, and applications cannot be reviewed once the class has reached capacity. You may begin applying for Fall 2013 in August of this year via Apply Yourself. Have you heard anything as of yet? This is making me incredibly nervous. Please update if you hear anything.
