I called York to voice my frustration today. Result: MORE waiting. The lady said that their goal is to inform all students within the next two weeks. And, she knows that they've been saying that for awhile, but they got 500 applications for 20 spots and they moved and their short staffed. Basically a whole bunch of things we already knew. She said that they're not done looking at applications yet. Sounds like bull to me, but who knows. Good luck to everyone! Edit: this is for the two year MSW program only.

Just spoke to someone at York and was told that they just finished first round offers :s and they're working on refusals and should hopefully have an email list of the waitlist sent out shortly. York is moving at a snails pace, with no regard for their applicants. I'm just going to continue to assume, it's bad news. Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

I just never knew that they would use a rolling admissions format for a program that holds 20 spots. Law Schools typically use rolling admissions, which makes more sense as there is a bigger incoming class and so many more applicants plus lsat scores, cgpa, b2 years etc.. This whole process... I don't know... it just doesn't make sense to me. York could've made it a lot easier for us! I'd like to believe that my statement was good. But, like you said, I had no idea what they were looking for.

Agreed. I just wish that they would let applicants know so we could move on with our lives. I can't believe that you (Laurie) are still waiting. From reading your "stats" I thought you'd be a shoe-in for York. The fact that you haven't been accepted gives me a glimmer of hope that they haven't finished the whole process. Here's to hoping! @LOLBRBY2K I noticed that myfile was moving SO slowly, I was hoping it was because administrators were updating our files. I guess EVERYONE was refreshing myfile yesterday lol. I'm going to call again today. Let's see what they say!

What's York's twitter? And, which school are you talking about by "U of W"? Windsor or Waterloo?

I haven't. The longer the wait, the more I feel bad news is approaching.

Congrats!!! I'm glad to hear people are finally hearing from York. Now, it gives me a legitimate reason to check myfile obsessively, lol. Let us know if you accept!!

Looking through old threads, the last two years York informed applicants (both those accepted and rejected) around May 2nd/3rd via myfile.

Congrats!!! That's so amazing!!! You give everyone hope! What's a 2.7? My university used a 13 point scale, so I'm so confused when people say their GPAs on a 4.0 scale.

Where can one find these training courses/seminars? Are there any that you recommend based on personal experience? Sounds interesting. Thanks in advance!

There's been more than one? I've only seen one. I haven't seen many rejections go out either. This whole process is so overwhelming and stressful. I don't think I'd be able to go through this again. Those who have applied numerous times have a lot of strength and courage. *sigh*

New to this forum, but I thought I'd share this information. I called York today and was informed that they'll be finished by the END of April guess the wait continues.
