YEAH! I just spoke with the NSF GRFP office, and was told that there is "some hope" that the results will be posted today! I asked if they were still waiting for the approval list, and was told "it is really complicated". Hope has come to America!

I called the 866 number - someone try calling the others and tell us what happens!

Just called NSF...spoke with a completely new voice...and was told that results will be posted they are "hoping by the end of the week". So I said, is there any chance at all they could be posted earlier, like today or tomorrow? And she said "no, unfortunately not."

Yes, I just did, and was told there is absolutely no chance they will be posted today. They are expecting between mid to end of next week. Sigh...

Hmm...this is all interesting. I feel like they are taking things down as they are maybe loading things up - like maybe they are loading the statistics of this year's recipients now. Gosh, I really hope they release soon!

Well, I called again. And was told there was almost no chance it would go up this week, and a small chance it would go up next week. It is going to be so sad if we all spend every day of the next week miserable and desperately waiting for the awards list, and it doesn't go up until the week after. A whole week of our young lives wasted. Oh well, I don't really see any other option!

I just don't understand how something so big doesn't have a set deadline for the announcement. We all submitted our applications on time, now how can it possible take NSF 5+ months to figure this out? And it is not just about this year...every year it takes them 5+ months! I used to work as a consultant and had the City of New York as a client, and man, government is the most inefficient system ever.

Well, it is not completely crazy to do...people DID get access to their reviews earlier...

This is just torture...and it is really wrong on NSF's part to be announcing so close to the deadlines for most schools...

Oh, one more piece of information which I think other people have already noted in other ways. When I spoke with the NSF person about an hour ago, I asked him what was holding things up, and he said their guess was the stimulus.

I am thinking that even though it seems the reviews are in, it is not necessarily a sign that the results are ready. The reviews were probably ready a long time ago. Oh, and hate to kill everyone's spirits, but I called NSF and was told by the man that the results will be published in the first half of April. So now, it seems we have gone from "early April" to "first half of April". What crap!
