KJ90, Did you accept at SAIS? Strange that the school did not offer the full amount in student loans.

I will doing the Preterm in DC. I have to submit my preterm reservation and I am debating about Micro or Macroeconomics. Since I don't have a math background at all, should I take micro because I will have a month of less distractions? I have heard this is the harder of the two. Any suggestions?

Yes me too. I Law. I saw several posts from those accepted to SAIS about the amount of funding they received.I wish they could have sent a penny my way.

I just did too! turned down money, but from the reading I have done, I have heard SAIS program is on a professional path and hopefully the contacts in DC will lead to a job. What concentration will you be doing?

I got into SAIS, 9k from Fletcher, 12k from syracuse, and 18k from Korbel. I am interested in working abroad or with the govt upon graduation (human rights). A part of me thinks go with SAIS because of the contacts in DC-location, program ranking, etc. But I think it would be financially foolish to turn down 18k/year scholarship. I also think Syracuse is out because of its location and not as strong international program.
Any advice is appreciated. I'm in the 11th hour decision making....
