Hi! I just saw your post about MPA's and job opportunities and figured I'd reply as I'll be receiving my MPA next month. I have a full-time job in my field (my concentration is policy and management with a focus in health policy and I currently work for a health policy/advocacy non-profit). The fact that I was getting my degree did actually help me to get the job I currently have as well as the internship that I did before I got my job. I am located in DC so there are a fair amount of people with MPA's and certainly a lot of job opportunities for people who have one. Most of my friends and others who I started the program with have jobs already or have offers for jobs once we finish (I'd say about 85-90% - some of those without are continuing to get their Ph.D.'s). And we all have jobs in different sectors. My school is costly but with the money I make at my job it won't be too difficult to pay back the loans.
I hope this is helpful! Glad to answer any other questions!
