well don't they cover up to $1500? and we don't get to earn any difference between the $1500 and the cost of your flight. so really even if we do have to follow the fly america act and that's the closes flight you can get, it's their problem
haha i knowwwww you'd think if they knew which Bundeland we were placed they would also know the city and school and could just go ahead and tell us already. the constant state of waiting is becoming painful
yeah i feel the same way -- i'm so ecstatic to have received the grant yet it doesn't seem like i really got it, especially since whenever anyone says "oh so where will you be in germany?!" i have no answer.
I hope not. I didn't get anything extra and I sent mine in. the only extra thing I got was the hepatitis A vaccine, and that was only because my doctor recommended it for prolonged stays in Europe, not because the forms required it
because they are sadists. i swear, when they sent the ambiguous email to the German ETA's where I couldn't tell whether it was an acceptance or not i was just a mess.
and johanna, i actually haven't seen the official letter yet and won't until this weekend, since they sent it to my home address -- i'll let you know if i figure out the PAD confusion
I received this too--which is why I was so confused! I didn't want to get too excited before the letter came (I'll still probably keep quiet about it until the letter comes -- although your post makes me feel MUCH BETTER!)
