-
hmmm. last summer when I was interning at NIH I stood in in front of this building on wilson blvd. so close and soo far away...
-

-
I did at the beginning of this week
-
I got nothing in my mailbox.... Which department are you in? maybe they are doing it by departments?
-
Yeah. A woman said it is be up at the end of the week.
-
END OF THE WEEK they said..... doesnt today qualify ?
-
i just called. the guy said 'at some point in the first half of April'. Now, at this point, I think definitely now more than that!
-
Anybody else call NSF? By the way, for those who called, thanks guys, and thanks for updating us all!!!
-
within an hour.... Im gonna pass out.
-
VERY soon? I wonder what that means in NSF terms. Next week?
-
I say the earliest we hear anything is Friday ...... painful as it sounds.
-
I think we should know by the end of this week. Im basing this on the fact that the engineers have to tell their fellowship whether they are accepting/declining by this Friday. Any thoughts?
-
Im supposed to be writing up my paper about the project that I applied for NSF with, but I just cant concentrate on anything except checking this forum and nsf website 50 times a day... :|
-
 alright then, we'll continue waiting....

Hey, I just logged in to Fastlane and this new page popped up asking me to agree to rules and regulations imposed by the NSF and then it made me change my password, because the password that 'was given' to me was temporary. This is the same password I used to apply. Could this mean that they are updating the web.....? :?

They have to figure out, VERY rapidly, how to spend an extra $3 billion dollars. Who decides where that money needs to go? Ill take the 3 billion to put them out of their misery and help them release the list sooner Do we know for sure that this year there will be more awards? Because I honestly dont think that they will give out 3x as many as last year, as some previous poster said.
-
On another note, a friend of a friend who applied this year got a notice that he didnt get it. I dont know how he found out, but I dont think this was one of those incomplete/ineligible applications that got rejections in March. I know his advisor very well and I think they did everything to be as competitive as they could be on the application.

I think at this point people are so desperate and some folks like to take advantage of that just to stir things up or cause hysteria so that people keep calling NSF to pressure them to release the list. If its not up by tomorrow that's what's gonna happen, because now we 'know' that some departments have it.
-
yeah right i can say im the chairman of the nsf and you all are gonna believe that too?
-
It would be nice to hear from the referred poster himself in regards to his position in his department/university. However, I highly doubt that an NSF contact person would be blogging about the list, for the simple reason that if someone in NSF found out about his activity he would be relieved of his responsibilities, as he is not allowed to disclose this information.

What puzzles me is how would you know if your department got the list, especially since today is a Saturday. Also, I talked to some faculty in my department who used to be reviewers for NSF and they said that departments do not get these lists until they are released by the NSF.
